Aspirus Spine & Neurosciences in Wausau, WI is seeking a locum Neurosurgery Physician Assistant (PA) to join a dedicated and collaborative team. This is a full-time locum position with an ongoing need. Schedule: Monday – Friday, inpatient rounding (AM) and outpatient clinic (PM). Patient volume: 10–15 patients/day. Start date as soon as credentialed. Wisconsin license required. EMR: Epic. Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily inpatient rounding each morning Provide follow-up and consultative care in the outpatient clinic each afternoon Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care Document patient encounters and care plans using Epic EMR Qualifications
Active Physician Assistant license in Wisconsin (required) Prior neurosurgery or surgical PA experience strongly preferred Ability to manage a dynamic caseload with autonomy and confidence Comfortable working in both inpatient and outpatient settings Team Structure
You will be part of a collaborative neurosurgery team that includes 2 Neurosurgeons, 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs), 3 Registered Nurses (RNs), 2 Medical Assistants (MAs), and 4 Office Staff Members. The clinic is located on the 3rd floor of Aspirus Wausau Hospital and the locum PA will work closely with 1 neurosurgeon and 2 other PAs. Employer Notes
