What You Will Do

Test Engineer (Automation & Data Validation) will support a high-paced Agile client environment and team of experienced application developers. The development team supports a large integrated platform which deploys through a DevSecOps pipeline. Test Engineer (Automation) will support the agile team within a prescribed SDLC and deployment process which requires testing and supporting documentation to be completed at consistent milestones during each delivery sprint. Communication is paramount to keep to the sprint milestones to ensure a successful delivery and production deployment each sprint. Test Engineer will work with developers, analysts, DevOps engineers to fully support the team. Primary focus of the Test Engineer will be contributing to and overseeing creation, upkeep, and execution of all test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts. Ensuring adherence to testing standards working with the team to improve minimizing defects. Database and Data Review/Validation. Adherence to deadlines and communicating status and progress. Contributing to software development process by testing and validating specifications are met in an Agile Scrum environment. Following established software development testing standards and procedures and contribute towards their improvement. Designing and developing complete automated test coverage of the application. Performing root cause analysis with developers and surfacing steps to recreate issues. Participating in peer and design reviews. Reviewing and analyzing complex programming specifications to properly and effectively test each application requirement. Conducting thorough defect analysis, document findings, and steps to reproduce. Providing production support and suggest enhancements to existing business applications. Multi-tasking and communicating status regularly to ensure all deadlines are met. What You Will Need

At minimum four (4) years of experience with software test automation. Bachelor’s degree. Additional four (4) years of experience is required in lieu of degree. Candidate must have experience in the following areas:

Designing and developing test cases, test plans, and other associated test-related documentation. Expertise in manual & automated testing, documentation, and validation of any issues or defects reported by end users. Performing application testing using existing testing tools, and manual testing.

Experience with database work and data review/validation. Built or expanded automated test framework. Experience with Java, building queries. Experience with application testing utilizing Katalon and Selenium or equivalent tools. Must be US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Must be able to travel to client location in Washington, DC for meetings when needed. What Would Be Nice To Have

Familiarity with the following tools: Jenkins, TestNG, JMeter, DataDog. Understanding of DevOps testing environment and object-oriented programming as it relates to software testing. Familiarity with insurance-related processes. Familiarity with approaches and methodologies related to customer and user experience for digital solutions. Familiarity with advanced agile practices including release trains, DevOps, CI/CD pipeline management, and security requirements. Experience using JIRA or an equivalent agile project management tool (e.g., Pivotal Tracker, VersionOne, ClearQuest). Salary and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00-$141,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
