The Stationary Operations Engineer oversees and maintains stationary equipment within our facility, ensuring its optimal operation and safety. This role requires an in-depth understanding of machinery, routine check-ups, troubleshooting, and efficient repair methods. Maintenance and Operation:
Safely operate, maintain, and monitor boilers, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other stationary equipment. Candidates must be experienced in maintenance and repairs on commercial-industrial building equipment, including chillers, boilers, pumps, control systems, air handlers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, VAVs, and VFDs. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and specifications, and respond to service calls involving gas-fired boilers, chillers, AHUs, fire pumps, generators, UPS, ATS, BAS, and fire alarm systems. Routine Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections, identify potential issues, and ensure equipment operates within safety standards. Respond to service calls, diagnose problems, and document activities using the site CMMS system. Interpret gauges, meters, and charts, adjust controls, and maintain logs. Troubleshooting:
Diagnose system malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement solutions. Documentation:
Keep detailed records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and replacements in compliance with standards. Compliance:
Ensure operations adhere to all relevant regulations and standards. Collaboration:
Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure seamless operation and issue resolution. Address questions, progress, and discrepancies promptly. Emergency Response:
Act as a first responder during equipment emergencies, implementing safety procedures. Continuous Learning:
Stay updated with industry trends, equipment, and best practices through ongoing training. Qualifications
Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or GED. Subject to a security investigation; U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI Polygraph are required. DC 1st Class Engineering License required. Candidate Expectations
Familiarity with operation, maintenance, and repair of boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, etc. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to interpret technical documentation. Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC controls. Benefits
