We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Release Engineer with extensive knowledge in Release Management and DevOps. The ideal candidate should work effectively with organizational leaders and communicate status updates on programs and projects. Experience with Python scripting, Jira, iTrack, and Confluence is required; SharePoint, PowerPoint, Wiki, and the ability to create Power BI dashboards are highly desirable. What You’ll Do

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git workflows to automate build, test, and deployment. Coordinate and execute release activities, managing dependencies, risks, and schedules across teams. Troubleshoot deployment issues, perform root cause analysis, and facilitate fixes to ensure reliable releases. Maintain release documentation, manage processes, and continuously recommend improvements. Key Qualifications

DevOps Experience: Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment. Proficiency with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar tools. Experience managing deployment pipelines for cloud and on-premises environments. Strong understanding of release orchestration, version control (Git), and branching strategies. Automation Skills: Automating manual processes and workflows using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, etc.). Ability to design, implement, and maintain automation for build, release, and environment management. AI Experience: Practical experience applying AI tools to streamline DevOps, release management, or operational workflows. Familiarity with AI platforms (Azure AI, AWS AI Services, Google AI, OpenAI) and prompt engineering for code/documentation or process automation is a plus. Technical Proficiency: Understanding of SDLC phases and how releases fit into the process. Experience with CI/CD tools and processes. Proficiency in Python scripting; experience with Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes is required; VBScript and SQL are desirable. Experience with Jira and Confluence; SharePoint, PowerPoint, Wiki, and Power BI dashboards are highly desirable. Experience: 5+ years in CI/CD pipeline development, deployment engineering, or related roles. Strong hands-on skills with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git workflows, and scripting (Python). Understanding of Java/Node.js microservices and Azure fundamentals is desirable. Project Management and Communication

Plan, schedule, and coordinate releases across multiple teams and projects. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. Manage changes to release scope, schedule, and resources. Coordinate complex releases across teams. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including developers, testers, product managers, and senior management. Document release plans, issues, and status reports. Lead release meetings and support on-call incident resolution. Analytical and Professional Attributes

Analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve release issues. Attention to detail to ensure thorough validation of releases. Ability to adapt to changing technologies, processes, and team dynamics; commitment to continuous learning. Experience and Education

Typically 8 years of experience in release management, software development, or related fields. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often preferred. Secondary Skills and Experience (Desired)

Design and Development: Define subsystems and interfaces, allocate responsibilities, and understand solution deployment requirements for interactions within the solution context. Technical Enablement: Provide technical enablement for components and subsystems; drive critical design decisions for the development team. Continuous Delivery Pipeline: Participate in planning and designing the system solution; create and enable the CD pipeline. Architectural Runway: Develop the architectural runway to support new features; collaborate with portfolio, Solution, and Enterprise Architects. Integration: Understand characteristics and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms. Compensation and Perks

Lead System Engineering role with an annual salary range of $143,800.00 – $215,800.00, plus comprehensive rewards. Salary depends on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
