Director of Infrastructure, based in the New York office, as a member of the IT department. The role delivers IT infrastructure and related IT operations to enable business capabilities and services across the firm. The Director will define IT infrastructure strategy, direction, architecture, standards, and management, including disaster recovery, security, systems, servers, networks, and storage. This role manages the IT helpdesk and system engineers and ensures reliable 24x7 operations. The Director reports to the CTO. Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: set the mission, vision, and strategy of IT Infrastructure to maximize business and IT enterprise initiative success. Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives including cloud migration, network upgrades, and automation. Collaborate with senior leadership to support digital transformation and innovation. Build stakeholder relationships with IT and business leaders to understand needs and deliver cost-effective IT services. Research and recommend new technologies and determine which emerging technologies should be incorporated into products and services. Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and developments. Cloud & DevOps: architect and oversee hybrid and cloud environments (preferably Azure), ensuring performance, scalability, resiliency, security, and cost-efficiency. Champion DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, automated testing, and monitoring. Drive adoption of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Operational Excellence: manage strategic vendor relationships (MSP/MSSP), ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services, and supervise day-to-day infrastructure operations (data center, cloud, networks, storage, DR). Administer M365 environment (Exchange Online, MS Teams, Azure AD, Dynamics 365). Oversee monitoring, maintenance, testing, and administration of IT systems, and implement upgrades to maintain service levels. Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of systems across the firm. Security & Compliance: manage cybersecurity strategy roadmap; maintain Disaster Recovery plans for critical systems; ensure IT policies and procedures; deploy and manage monitoring tools; own third-party risk management including vendor security assessments. Partner with compliance to meet cybersecurity and regulatory standards (e.g., SEC); implement monitoring, logging, and incident response protocols. Team Leadership: serve as escalation point for Tech Support; build and lead a high-performing infrastructure team; mentor and develop talent. Budget & Planning: develop and manage infrastructure budgets, forecasts, and capacity planning; evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce risk. Technical Skills

Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Cybersecurity Architect Expert); cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP). Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025), Linux (Ubuntu 22.04+), Windows 11. Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins); Version Control (Git); Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Packer). Configuration Management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef); SAST/DAST/SCA tooling (Snyk, Veracode, Checkmarx); secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, Keeper). VMware in multiple hosts; remote desktop technologies (Citrix, VPN, VDI); scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell); Azure-focused cloud services; M365 (Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power BI, Power Automate, Conditional Access). Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN, VoIP, VLAN); hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, Nutanix, Cisco, Fortinet); monitoring/EDR/DLP/micro-segmentation tools; CSPM/SSPM. Requirements

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, business information systems, or related field. 10+ years’ experience transforming IT infrastructure; proven IT infrastructure management in a complex environment with architecture, systems administration, network administration, cloud architecture, and DevOps experience. Leadership experience directing and mentoring IT professionals; familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and cloud-native security. Strong project management and ability to manage multiple projects; business and financial acumen to present ideas clearly. Strong written and verbal communication; effective influencing and negotiating skills; ability to work under pressure and learn rapidly. Financial services experience a plus. What We Offer

Base salary is determined during the interview process and may vary based on experience, expertise, business needs, and market factors. The expected base salary range is generally 175,000 to 275,000 per year at start, but the final offer may differ. Base salary is part of total compensation, which may include bonuses and additional benefits. This position is at-will and compensation programs may be modified at any time.
