SEC Reporting Manager

to its dynamic Controllership team to lead and support its public company external financial reporting requirements. The right candidate will have relevant experience in the preparation and/or review of quarterly and annual SEC reporting (e.g., earnings, 10-Q, 10-K) with a strong understanding of SEC regulations and US GAAP. This role reports to the

SEC Reporting Director

and is part of SoFi’s Accounting, SEC reporting, and Policy Controllership Team. What you’ll do

Play an integral role in the Company’s preparation of its consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures on a quarterly and annual basis under public company accounting standards Prepare disclosures and support for complex accounting areas, including earnings per share, segment reporting, derivatives and equity / share-based compensation Review disclosures prepared by senior and staff accountants; assist in team member development Prepare and/or review disclosure checklists to ensure all requirements are met; research disclosure requirements and stay abreast of new pronouncements Review financial statement tie-outs for the financial statement audit and review procedures Contribute to enhancements of financial reporting processes and procedures; help identify opportunities for optimization and support automation solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams including regulatory reporting, finance, and investor relations Support other team responsibilities and ad hoc tasks (peer company analysis, ERP system management, regulatory reporting support, investor relations support, proxy statements, significant transactions, etc.) Serve as a point of contact for external auditors on financial statement disclosure questions What you’ll need

6+ years of public company financial reporting experience within the financial services / banking industry, with a background in a public company environment; Big 4 or large regional firm experience preferred Active CPA license; Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance or related field Knowledge of SEC regulations and US GAAP, and research experience in applicable literature Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills Proactive mindset and ability to work independently, while also collaborating effectively in a team Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to work under tight deadlines with rigorous attention to detail; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn Nice to have

Understanding of bank regulations & banking industry Previous people management experience Workiva (Wdesk/Wdata) experience Experience in the FinTech and/or Software industry Compensation And Benefits
