Responsibilities
Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the techno-functional impact analysis, design & code construction activities associated with development of software releases for the CVS Retail Pharmacy systems.
Collaborate with the development manager, business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners, developers, and project managers to deliver business change and innovation into Java-based applications software.
Participate throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and deliver efficient solutions while identifying and mitigating risks before deployment to production.
Qualifications
5+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications
4+ years of experience in React JS, Node.js or other front-end frameworks; ability to develop effective engineering practices with responsive UI design
3+ years of experience as a full stack developer in Java-based technologies including microservices and Spring Boot
5+ years of experience with Cloud Technologies (Azure, GCP or other public cloud services) and knowledge of open-source packages from Apache, Google, and Spring
5+ years of experience in databases – SQL, NoSQL, table structures, and data relationships
3+ years of experience in Agile development practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Retail Pharmacy or Healthcare domain
Knowledge of GraphQL/gRPC
Expert knowledge of software engineering best practices with experience building complex software products
Experience driving adoption of software engineering best practices
Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architectures
Experience as a Full Stack Developer building mission-critical and highly scalable applications
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to be productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices in large, collaborative teams
Experience working with large-scale software engineering initiatives
Education
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $101,970.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
