Were actively seeking a talented Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Investment Accounting and Reporting team in Newport Beach, CA. As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by providing timely and accurate investment reporting on a quarterly and annual basis, as well as ad-hoc reporting to Investment Management's main constituents. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of six people in the corporate division. This role is on-site 4 days a week. You\'ll work at our state-of-the-art Newport Beach headquarters. Responsibilities

Coordinate and/or prepare various reports, schedules, presentations, dashboards and ad hoc deliverables related primarily to commercial and residential mortgage loans and real estate equity securities

Prepare various investment reporting, including divisional due diligence reports, bank presentations, rating agency surveys, and industry related surveys

Actively participate in technology and other projects that impact the reporting for commercial and residential mortgage loans

Be innovative in leading improvements to reporting processes

Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and management reports as requested, requiring a thorough understanding of the data

Maintain proper controls over reporting and understanding the right level of control consciousness; assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience

CPA preferred

Proven organizational skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines

Ability to work independently on assignment of various levels of complexity with minimal direction

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to collaborate with others to effectively problem solve

Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience is preferred

What will make you stand out

Experience in the life insurance industry and/or financial services preferred

Experience with investment accounting tools for Mortgage Loans such as Enterprise

Familiarity or working knowledge of a broad spectrum of investment types including fixed income, mortgage loans and derivatives

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems and tools, including Power BI, Business Objects and Workiva (WDesk)

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay. $100,530.00 - $122,870.00 Benefits
