Provost and Dean of the Faculty, Warren Wilson College Warren Wilson College (WWC) invites nominations and applications for the position of Provost and Dean of the Faculty (Provost), the College's chief academic officer, and a key member of the senior leadership team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a visionary leader to join a distinctive liberal arts institution committed to integrating rigorous academics, meaningful work, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
Lead and support the faculty in advancing excellence in teaching, scholarship, and creative practice.
Guide curriculum development integrating liberal arts with experiential learning and the work program.
Foster academic innovation while safeguarding the values of shared governance and inclusive decision-making.
Strengthen the College's commitment to inclusive excellence across all aspects of academic life.
Oversee academic programs, the library, the work program, and student academic support services.
Serve as a passionate advocate for the liberal arts in the 21st century.
Serve as second in command to the President.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent.
Distinguished record as a scholar and educator meriting appointment at the rank of full professor.
Deep understanding of the liberal arts with demonstrated commitment to integrating experiential learning throughout the curriculum.
Substantial, progressive leadership and management experience in higher education and advancing academic excellence and institutional mission.
