Base pay range
$138,900.00/yr - $191,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Represent Humana entities in employment-related litigation, including administrative charges and lawsuits, involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, non-compete, and other labor and employment issues. Draft employment policies and develop case strategy. Resolve employment disputes and organize/manage individual case matters. Assist with internal investigations regarding workplace issues as needed. Advise HR on the legal and ethical implications of HR processes involving artificial intelligence (AI). Collaborate with HR to identify and mitigate potential legal risks in technology and AI-related projects.
The role requires exercising independent judgment and decision-making within established guidelines under general supervision.
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school Active and licensed membership in a state bar association Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing employment law, including litigation and dispute resolution Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and wage and hour regulations Demonstrated project management skills related to discovery and employment litigation matters Ability to manage multiple case matters simultaneously with attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills, including explaining complex legal issues to stakeholders and drafting employment-related documents Ability to work independently under general supervision and effectively in team settings Experience with large-scale e-discovery in employment matters

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $138,900 - $191,000 per year
