Radiation Oncology Dosimetrists Job Summary:
The Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the radiation therapy treatment team who is thoroughly familiar with the physical and geometrical characteristics of the radiation equipment and radioactive sources commonly employed, and has the training and expertise necessary to measure and calculate radiation doses under the direction of the Therapeutic Radiological Physicist and the Radiation Oncologist. Schedule: Hybrid (1 week onsite / 3 weeks remote)

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Radiation Oncology team and support five clinic locations across Middle Tennessee: Nashville, Spring Hill, Clarksville, Franklin, and Lebanon. Position Overview As a Medical Dosimetrist, you\'ll play a vital role in our radiation therapy treatment team. You\'ll work under the direction of the Therapeutic Radiological Physicist and Radiation Oncologist to measure and calculate precise radiation doses, ensuring safe and effective Photon therapy treatment plans for our patients. This position will cover all 5 radiation oncology clinics (Nashville, Spring Hill, Clarksville, Franklin, and Lebanon). This hybrid remote position has a consistent rotation of 1-week onsite followed by 3-weeks remote. Please note, this position requires 3 months of on-site training. Why Join Vanderbilt Health? Qualifications Certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) preferred.
Experience with treatment planning systems and radiation oncology equipment preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
