We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps engineer to join our team at Capella Space. As a DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, and managing the infrastructure and tools needed to support our continuous integration and deployment processes. DevOps Engineers provide and maintain secure infrastructure, automation, environments, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and incident response while embedding security controls into every stage of the software and systems lifecycle. You will work closely with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure that our development and production environments are reliable, scalable, and secure. Role Responsibilities
Implement automation pipelines for software development and deployment Manage and monitor infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance Collaborate with software developers to optimize application performance and reliability Implement and manage containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes Configure and maintain database systems and related tools Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions Work with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business needs Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevSecOps Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a DevOps role or equivalent Understanding and familiarity of/with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Bash Some experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Puppet Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience with database systems, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus or ELK stack Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to participate in an on-call rotation To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, Capella Employees must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce. We are hiring multiple engineers across varying levels of experience. The annual salary range for this role is $86,012 - $107,516, depending on qualifications, experience, and level of responsibility. The final job level and salary will be determined based on the candidate’s education, qualifications, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience, as well as the office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
