Job Opportunity: Inpatient Psychiatry Faculty Department of Psychiatry, University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore The University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, is seeking qualified psychiatrists with an academic interest for openings in our inpatient psychiatric unit at the University of Maryland Medical Center - Midtown campus. Candidates should have enthusiasm for inpatient care and enjoy working on a multidisciplinary team. We have a robust division with 6 faculty physicians providing inpatient care for up to 37 patients, with team caps of 8-12 patients per day. Faculty rotate through teaching teams with residents and cover ED consults on a rotating schedule. Both part-time and full-time options are available. Positions include faculty appointments at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and offer opportunities for clinical care, teaching, and research. A departmental mentoring program is available for new faculty. Candidates must be ABPN certified or eligible. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience. Salary ranges: Part-time (50% FTE): $110,000 - $120,000 Full-time (100% FTE): $220,000 - $240,000 The expected rank for this position is Assistant Professor or higher, depending on experience and qualifications. The salary range reflects base pay for Assistant Professor, based on faculty rank and years in rank.
