Directors will work on a variety of assignments, including the valuation of private debt and equity portfolios, complex securities, and strategic initiatives supporting Stout's expansion objectives. This professional will manage a team of professionals responsible for production of valuation analysis and servicing client relationships. Major Duties and Responsibilities
Managing valuation projects for the above-mentioned products, and supervising junior staff to ensure high-quality deliverables to clients Developing and refining valuation methodologies for private equity and credit transactions across industries. Calibrate models and market data in support of valuation analysis Performing corporate, fund and asset valuations including analysis of discounted cash flows, capitalization of earnings, comparable companies, merger and acquisition transactions, stock option analysis, illiquid debt and equity investments Preparing written valuation reports for client presentation Maintaining strong relationships with clients Participating in due diligence meetings Conducting company, industry, and economic research Keeping track of latest market developments and regulatory changes in the field Analyzing general economic conditions and industry-specific conditions and trends Managing Associates and Analysts during the valuation production process, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment Providing audit support for projects under management Participate in developing and supporting Stout's strategic agenda including product development and technology Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Successful Directors possess the following attributes: Proficient in valuation approaches related to private debt, equity, asset-based finance and other complex financial instruments Intermediate/advanced understanding of economics, financial theory and/or principles of accounting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient computer skills (primarily Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Python and/or Tableau / Power BI is a plus Relationship-focused (with clients, peers, management, etc.) Excels in a team-oriented work environment with a positive and enthusiastic attitude Shows creativity in problem solving Accountability and ability to multi-task Professional presence and detail-oriented Strong technical and analytical skills Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset Education and/or Training
4-year degree necessary with an emphasis in finance, accounting, financial engineering, math or other quantitative degrees Minimum 8 years of experience in portfolio valuation, complex securities valuation, portfolio management or research with a focus on private equity, private credit or asset-based finance asset classes Solid understanding of key financial models and valuation methodologies Excellent leadership abilities with a proven track record of effectively managing and developing teams Professional designation preferred - CFA, ASA, CPA, CEIV is a plus Why Stout?
