Overview
Sets the strategic direction of the Liberty Partnerships Program. Position is dependent on funding by the New York State Education Department (NYSED). Responsibilities
Leads the program and its day-to-day operations and is responsible for researching, planning, and implementing the Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP). Key responsibilities include: Initiates and sets goals for the LPP program in accordance with NYSED program requirements and objectives as outlined in the LPP director’s manual. Oversees and allocates resources necessary to achieve those objectives from start to finish involving milestones, time-limited targets, and processes per state requirements as outlined in the LPP director’s manual. Maintains primary budgetary responsibilities, including developing, managing, and approving budgets and operations. Negotiates contracts and manages relationships with external vendors. Devises data analysis and evaluation strategies to monitor program performance and determines the need for improvements. Oversees the program manager and supervises the site coordinators, interns, and any employee of the program. Leads and motivates the LPP team, including hiring, conducting training, as well as ongoing professional learning, performance evaluations, and ongoing team meetings and communication. Prepares reports for NYSED to demonstrate progress and areas for ongoing growth. Ensures that program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies and keeps senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports and presentations. Manages key constituents; e.g. NYSED, Touro, and LPP school sites. Qualifications
Education, Preparation, and Training Master’s degree and/or five years in youth programming, at a minimum; Doctoral degree preferred At least three years of prior relevant experience Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to take initiative and to work independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook Proficiency in Microsoft Access a plus Travel Some travel is involved Salary Maximum Salary USD $75,000.00/Yr. Minimum Salary USD $60,000.00/Yr.
