Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven
Director of Business Development
to lead strategic growth initiatives in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Miami markets. We are hiring for three separate positions, one in each geographic area. This role is pivotal in expanding our presence in the
disaster recovery, water mitigation, fire mitigation, environmental cleanup, reconstruction, and insurance claims
markets. The Director will focus on securing new business, deepening industry relationships, and driving revenue in both commercial and residential sectors.
Strategy Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a regional business development strategy focused on disaster recovery, mold/fire/water remediation, environmental cleanup, and insurance-driven reconstruction projects.
Identify and pursue new revenue streams in key verticals such as property management, insurance carriers, adjusters, municipal contracts, healthcare, and education.
Monitor regional trends, competitive landscape, and local regulations to inform go-to-market tactics.
Client & Partner Development Build strong relationships with insurance adjusters, property owners, facility managers, and restoration consultants.
Attend industry networking events, disaster recovery forums, trade shows, and association meetings (e.g., CAI, IREM, RIMS).
Represent the company during client presentations, project negotiations, and partnership discussions.
Sales Execution & Team Leadership
Lead the sales process from prospecting to close, including RFP/RFQ submissions, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
Collaborate with estimators, claims managers, project engineers and project managers to ensure alignment between client expectations and project delivery.
Performance Tracking & Reporting: Maintain an active pipeline in CRM with detailed reporting on opportunity status, client communications, and deal progress.
Regularly report KPIs, revenue forecasts, and market insights to executive leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field; MBA a plus.
8 years of business development or sales experience in disaster recovery, restoration, or environmental remediation.
Deep understanding of insurance claims processes, emergency response protocols, and industry compliance standards (e.g., IICRC, OSHA, EPA).
Strong existing network within the insurance, property management, and municipal sectors.
Proven track record of winning high-value contracts and growing market share.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Based in Southern California, with travel as needed.

Base starting at $100,000 depending on experience and location
