Overview
Job Title: Service Education Instructional Designer – Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) – Highland Heights OH; Colorado Springs CO; Plymouth MN; San Diego CA The Service Education Instructional Designer – IGTD will enable field service staff to provide best-in-class service to customers with Philips medical device equipment. This role acts as a consultant and subject matter expert on learning experiences with an emphasis on digital and remote learning. Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor in innovative education delivery methods while ensuring relevant quality, legal, and compliance requirements are met. Collaborate with subject matter experts to design engaging learning activities with a macro- and micro-view of the learning journey, focusing on remote and distance learning. Maintain the Course Development Process, guide development, participate in audits, and address resulting CAPAs. Gather and document requirements for learning products and identify materials such as quick step guides, learning services checklists, and instructor guides. Outline course and modular content, participate in storyboard creation, and develop education content. Create consistent, streamlined learning services using company standards and development tools; populate course materials in the Learning Management System (LMS) and perform tests to ensure functionality. Apply multimedia, advanced simulations, and other learning activities to effectively teach concepts and technical/clinical skills with documented instructional design. Report on team performance and project impact using defined KPIs and data from the LMS, learner feedback, and other analytics tools. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in medical device education, ideally Instructional Design, or related field. 2+ years of experience in instructional design with hands-on experience building learning programs. Experience with adult learning methodologies (including ADDIE), learning theories, and Learning Management Systems (LMS); proficient with learning development tools (MS Office Suite, Articulate Storyline 360, etc.). Comfortable in a metrics-driven environment; able to translate data into insights and actions to improve team and learner outcomes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork. Ability to be occasionally flexible with working hours to accommodate meetings across time zones. Must be able to perform minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. Willingness and ability to travel if/when business requires. We are better together. For office-based teams, expect in-person work at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in company facilities. The pay range for this position in Highland Heights OH, Plymouth MN, or Colorado Springs CO is $105,000-$137,000. The pay range in San Diego CA is $117,000-$137,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges based on job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, location, and internal equity. Additionally, other compensation such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible for Philips Total Rewards benefits, including generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement, and more. Details about benefits are available elsewhere. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range; compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Additional Information
