The Senior Corporate Counsel, IP & Technology (Remote - Global Role based in the United States)
is responsible for providing legal advice and support to Iron Mountain’s global organization on a variety of product, technology, and intellectual property issues. You will work with our product incubator, product development, marketing, strategic growth, and other global teams to balance risk while optimizing transformative business growth through legal analysis, guidance to our Commercial Sellers, and negotiation of technology-related agreements. You will also advise on existing and new product development, including product pilots and launch. The ideal candidate will have a global mindset and the ability to work internationally, collaborating with internal business partners and possessing advanced negotiation experience in digital product and service deals. As Senior Corporate Counsel, IP & Technology, you will be part of Iron Mountain’s Global Legal Intellectual Property & Technology team with responsibilities including, but not limited to: effectively draft, negotiate and advise the business on IP and technology issues, including customer, vendor and strategic partner agreements; draft technology-specific contract templates; assist in drafting, maintaining and training others on templates and ancillary materials; assist in various IP matters including prosecution, licensing, and portfolio management; collaborate with internal stakeholders across functions; manage multiple deadlines effectively. Skills
Experience drafting and negotiating software and related technology agreements, including complex client and vendor deals, with strong knowledge of contract and IP law. Experience drafting and negotiating partnership agreements (reseller, referral, co-marketing, API, OEMs, ISVs, joint development, channel partnerships, GTM, VARs, SIs/GSIs, MSPs). Experience counseling on IP issues in software, cloud, AI/ML, SaaS, data processing and privacy, plus trademarks, patents, trade secrets, and copyrights. Strong knowledge of US IP law and global IP concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, business-oriented approach. Ability to manage multiple matters on tight timelines and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and autonomously when needed. Experience working with external counsel. Self-motivated, curious, and willing to take on new challenges. Willingness to work across regions and time zones as needed. Requirements
A juris doctor degree (or international equivalent) from an accredited law school. Qualified and admitted to practice law in the local jurisdiction. 7-10 years of related law firm or corporate in-house experience. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in: IP, commercial, partner and technology transactions; IP prosecution, maintenance and licensing; commercialization of SaaS and software; negotiation and drafting of technology transactions; AI, privacy, data use and data security issues.
