Overview
Manager, Technical Program Management – Wearables Software This role is with Reality Labs (RL). RL develops software for all realities—Augmented and Virtual—serving billions of users worldwide. The TPM Manager will lead and grow a team of Technical Program Managers to drive cross-functional projects that shape wearables software strategies and user experiences across RL products. You will collaborate with software engineers, product managers, release management, and quality assurance teams to deliver cohesive programs and drive execution. This role focuses on defining how we build and deliver our wearables portfolio, with emphasis on career development and personal growth. Base pay range: $167,000.00/yr – $230,000.00/yr. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of TPMs through feedback, coaching, and structured career development Foster a team environment of executional rigor and high product quality Turn requirements into actionable plans that drive clarity, urgency, and alignment Lead efforts to create transparency, predictability, and accountability in all areas of execution Communicate with clarity and precision to ensure alignment across teams Drive technical contributions within the team, coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including architectural diagrams, specifications, launch criteria, and test plans Collaborate effectively, build relationships, and influence team members and cross-functional leaders to set and achieve product objectives Collaborate with engineering, product, data, and design leadership to shape and execute the long-term strategy for the Reality Labs software organization Collaborate with partner teams and leadership to balance cost, risk, and benefit while focusing on high-priority business and customer needs Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience 7+ years of experience in software or technical product/program management 3+ years of people management experience, leading teams to deliver technical programs or products from inception to delivery Strong communication and partnership skills, including relationship building within cross-functional teams Experience navigating ambiguity and driving clarity for the team Experience delivering technology programs or products from inception to delivery Proven ability to lead teams through highly ambiguous and complex products and programs Ability to operate with initiative across multiple teams, showing systems and product thinking and thought leadership Experience making technical and product tradeoffs balancing business needs and technical constraints Experience working on consumer electronics products About Meta
