Software Solutions Architect

to join the Air Dominance, Air Proprietary 1 team located in

Berkeley, MO . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. We are looking for a highly talented, motivated, and creative individual to lead and support the existing capabilities of an agile software program in the Phantom Works organization. There is long-term potential for career growth into technical leadership or management positions. Responsibilities

Architect Cloud Solutions: Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based architectures (AWS or Azure) that align with business objectives and enhance operational capabilities. Lead the migration from on-premises to cloud-based solutions. DevOps Strategy Development: Lead the development of a comprehensive DevOps strategy, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring solutions to streamline software delivery and improve deployment frequency. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (development, operations, product management) to align project goals and deliverables. Optimization and Waste Reduction: Apply industrial engineering principles to analyze existing systems, identify optimization opportunities, and reduce waste to improve efficiency. Define and analyze KPIs for software delivery and team execution to ensure continuous improvement. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship, establish best practices, and lead efforts to document methodologies for software development, deployment, and operations. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements, present architectural designs, and provide project progress updates. Research and Development: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps, applying knowledge to enhance solutions. Basic Qualifications (Required)

15+ years of total experience 5+ years of software architecture experience with a focus on cloud-based solutions and DevOps 10+ years leading software teams and/or projects 10+ years of automated provisioning and configuring software-defined infrastructure for continuous deployment and operations Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins), automation frameworks, and infrastructure as code (IaC) Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic thinking abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively Experience in industrial engineering or process optimization is desirable Experience with AWS or Azure GovCloud Security+ certification Travel
