Overview
Heart Center is a hospital-owned practice seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Cardiologist to join our established group in our Sheffield, Alabama satellite location. The practice was founded in 1979 and has since grown into a lucrative practice with more than 40 Cardiologists, 6 Cardiothoracic Surgeons and 4 cardiac anesthesiologists. We are the dominant cardiology group in North Alabama, owning more than 90% of the market with an excellent payor mix. Physicians are employed by HH Heart Center, LLC which is a wholly-owned entity of Huntsville Hospital, one of the largest non-profit health care systems in the nation, serving all of North Alabama and Southern Tennessee. This provides the group access to a large base of patients supported by a referral base of 170+ primary care physicians. Practice and Setting
The position carries excellent compensation and benefits (health/dental/malpractice/disability insurance), 401k and 457(b). Our Sheffield physicians practice at Hellen Keller Hospital, which is part of the Huntsville Hospital Health System. Founded in 1921, Hellen Keller Hospital is a 185 bed facility with a medical staff of more than 150 physicians and 1000 employees. The facility offers a wide range of diagnostic testing, including a cardiac catheterization lab. In addition to the hospital diagnostic imaging services, our clinic provides nuclear, echocardiography and PV testing for our patients. Location
Sheffield is located in northwest Alabama near the Mississippi and Tennessee borders. It is located in the eastern part of Colbert County on the bank of the Tennessee River. Sheffield is bordered to the south by the city of Tuscumbia, to the southeast by Muscle Shoals and to the north, across the river by Florence. This quad cities area offers an abundance of water recreation, hiking, golfing and family oriented sports activities.
