About the Role

Uber is looking for a strategic, creative, and execution-focused Employee Experience Manager to join our small but mighty Culture and Experience Team. This role is one of two on the Employee Experience side, a function that applies Human Centered Design and transformation design to create seamless, research-based experiences that reflect employee needs and drive business impact. You will lead cross functional efforts to design experiences that reflect both employees' needs and the strategic goals of the business. Whether reimagining how roles evolve with GenAI, shaping how employees navigate change, or improving everyday interactions, you will bring clarity and structure to complex challenges. Working closely with partners across the People Team and the business, you will use a human centered approach to build solutions that are both thoughtful and actionable. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and empathy. We are looking for someone who can zoom out to identify systemic opportunities and zoom in to co-create thoughtful, iterative, and scalable solutions that improve how people experience work every day.

What You'll Do

Lay the strategic foundation:

Partner early with HR business partners and business leaders to shape the problem definition, clarify intended outcomes, and align on a thoughtful, human centered design approach.

Lead insights driven discovery:

Use interviews, shadowing, surveys, and other research methods to surface employee pain points and synthesize insights into clear, actionable opportunity areas using tools such as journey maps, empathy maps, and personas.

Co-create and prototype solutions:

Facilitate cross functional design sprints to generate ideas, test low fidelity prototypes, and iterate quickly based on employee and stakeholder feedback.

Design seamless rollouts and drive change adoption:

Develop clear and consistent experiences by creating communications, enablement resources, and stakeholder plans that support adoption and guide teams through change with clarity and empathy.

Ensure lasting impact through measurement and iteration:

Monitor adoption, gather feedback, and use both qualitative and quantitative insights to assess effectiveness and refine solutions over time.

Shape the talent experience for GenAI Transformation:

Partner on efforts to identify roles, tasks, and workflows most impacted by GenAI, and shape talent-side responses such as role redesign, reskilling, and redeployment in ways that reflect employee needs and business priorities.
