Cybersecurity Operations Product/Project Manager
Cybersecurity Operations Product/Project Manager role at Chenega MIOS. Apply via Dice. Washington, DC Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with developing and driving the global cybersecurity tactical operational initiatives by providing day-to-day management, oversight, and guidance to operations and management. Provide operational management, oversight, training, and quality assurance for a 24/7/365 global security operations center consisting of a team with varied strengths responsible for event and alert monitoring, intelligence research and analysis, and event and incident management. Develop workflows, resources, and initiate improvements where required. Serve as an escalation point and subject matter resource in event and alert monitoring, intelligence research and analysis, event and incident management. Provide timely reporting on project status. Manage security operations projects, including process improvement and technology investment. Oversee Cybersecurity Operations projects to ensure they are executed on time, on budget, and per requirements, following division, branch, and agency instructions and processes. Assist in financial stewardship for funds, procurement of mission-related products and services, and development of acquisition packages. Develop, monitor, and revise reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics to track performance. Identify cybersecurity technology investment opportunities and opportunities to strengthen capabilities and operational effectiveness. Identify gaps in core technical and programmatic capabilities and conduct strategic planning and implementation to address them. Produce technology plans, roadmaps, and schedules for information security and assurance capabilities and their transition. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships across departments and agencies through working groups and meetings. Resolve priority conflicts to maximize successful deliveries. Maintain knowledge of information security and cyber defense policies, laws, standards, concepts, technologies, and practices. Conduct research on emerging IT and security technologies and recommend, evaluate, and integrate innovative solutions. Develop and validate documentation and procedures and establish continuous process improvement to ensure products remain effective; perform Business Process Engineering when procedures do not exist. Ensure security operations tools are effectively utilized; identify gaps and implement new solutions; manage security service providers for tool and process enhancements. Develop and maintain relationships with IT teams to coordinate protection of critical systems. Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed and involved in Security Operations matters. Ensure identified events are promptly validated and thoroughly investigated. Stay current on cyber security trends and intelligence to guide SOC capabilities. Build and mature Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where appropriate. Identify opportunities for SOC system tuning and improvements. Engage leadership to voice concerns or propose better solutions. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related field, OR High school diploma or GED plus 4+ years of equivalent work experience 13+ years of combined experience (8+ years technical security experience; 5+ years leading a cyber incident response or security operations team) with an enterprise organization Experience in Incident Management/Response, threat intelligence production, Digital Forensics and E-Discovery, and Security Engineering/Operations Current CISSP, CEH, or similar certification (include certification number) Ability to lead local and remote teams and interact with senior executives and subject matter authorities Ability to work across geographically dispersed teams Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, time management, and communication skills Familiarity with offensive/defensive strategies Knowledge of cybersecurity laws, regulations, directives, and standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK) Self-motivated and task-oriented Background check required Growth and Benefits
