Overview
Operating in the Infrastructure & Utility Services sector, this organization delivers engineering, coordination, and project delivery for dry-utility networks (telecom, power, and related civil infrastructure) across municipal and commercial markets. The role will lead strategic communications to protect and grow organizational reputation with regulators, municipal partners, customers, and communities. Primary Title:

Develop and execute an integrated corporate communications strategy that advances brand reputation, supports commercial growth, and aligns with executive priorities. Lead crisis and reputation management—prepare plans, coordinate rapid-response communications, and serve as a senior advisor during incidents affecting operations or public safety. Manage media relations, thought leadership, and public affairs activities including press releases, op-eds, spokesperson preparation, and press events to secure high-quality coverage. Drive stakeholder engagement with municipal leaders, regulators, customers, and community groups—design outreach programs and manage consultation processes. Oversee internal and executive communications: speechwriting, town halls, employee communications, and change-management messaging tied to major projects and initiatives. Build and lead a high-performing communications team and agency partners; own budget, KPIs, measurement frameworks, and continuous improvement of channels and content. Must-Have
10+ years in corporate communications, public affairs, or PR with 5+ years in a senior leadership role (VP/Head level) managing teams and budgets. Proven track record in crisis communications, media relations, and reputation management for regulated or infrastructure-facing organizations. Strong stakeholder engagement experience with government, municipal officials, and community groups; comfortable navigating complex permitting and public-consultation contexts. Exceptional written and verbal communications—executive speechwriting, spokesperson coaching, and content strategy for multiple channels (web, social, earned media). Data-driven approach to communications: experience setting KPIs, measuring campaign impact, and reporting to executive leadership/board-level stakeholders. Preferred
Direct experience in the utilities, telecom, construction, or civil infrastructure sectors; familiarity with project-delivery and safety communications.
