We partner with healthcare providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and payers to deliver specialized medications and support services that improve patient outcomes. Position Summary Senderra RX is seeking an experienced Senior Associate General Counsel to join our legal team. This role will provide critical legal support in the areas of contract review, regulatory compliance, and general corporate matters within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in healthcare law and a passion for contributing to a dynamic, mission-driven organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer. Responsibilities
Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, and partnerships with healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and payers. Provide guidance on regulatory questions related to healthcare, pharmacy operations, HIPAA, FDA regulations, and other applicable laws in the pharma and health insurance industries. Handle general corporate legal work, such as corporate governance, risk management, policy development, and advising on business transactions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, operations, and executive leadership, to ensure legal alignment with business objectives. Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging issues in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, and pharmacy benefit management (PBM). Assist in managing litigation, disputes, and internal investigations as needed. Support the development and implementation of compliance programs to mitigate legal risks. Serve as legal partner for strategic initiatives such as M&A, value-based care models, or new product launches. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state; admission to the Texas bar is preferred but not required. 3-7 years of relevant legal experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or health insurance (e.g., experience at companies like Aetna or Humana). Experience in a national specialty pharmacy or Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) is a strong plus. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and state pharmacy laws. Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity. Reporting Structure
