Project Manager (Structural Engineering)
to lead large-scale structural projects in Los Angeles and San Diego. This role is focused on managing and delivering
Type I construction projects
(steel and concrete), including both ground-up construction and renovations, across diverse sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, residential, hospitality, and aviation. This opportunity is ideal for senior-level engineers with strong technical expertise and proven leadership experience who are ready to manage high-profile projects and teams in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
Manage structural engineering projects from concept through completion. Supervise and mentor engineering and BIM design teams to ensure project success. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions. Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with building codes, seismic regulations, and industry standards. Conduct technical design and detailing for large-scale Type I structures. Build and maintain client relationships while supporting business development efforts. Must-Have Qualifications
8+ years of structural engineering experience. SE License required. Masters degree or higher in Structural Engineering
from a U.S. university. Expertise in Type I construction
(steel and concrete). Experience with ground-up construction (60-70%)
and
renovations (30-40%) . Familiarity with Mission Critical Facilities . Proven ability to manage large-scale structural projects. Strong leadership skills with experience managing engineering and design teams. Demonstrated track record of successful project delivery and client management. Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience with DSA and HCAI/OSHPD projects. Experience in seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings using ASCE 41.
