Overview
We are seeking a skilled WiFi RF/ Telecommunications Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wireless network installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Responsible for ensuring clients have clean, reliable, and high-speed wireless internet access. Responsibilities
Assist team in installing and configuring wireless networking equipment (Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers). Physical installation of network equipment, access points, and antennas. Conduct site surveys to assess coverage and performance requirements. Using Ekahau software, produce reports/scans for baseline RF environment, predictive heatmap survey, and post-install validations. Troubleshooting / RF analysis and reporting; perform spectrum analysis to optimize existing Wi-Fi networks. Troubleshoot and resolve WiFi connectivity issues for clients. Monitor network performance and optimize configurations for maximum efficiency using Cisco DNA Center and WLC. Collaborate with the IT team to implement network upgrades and improvements. Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service calls. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in wireless networking. May be requested and required to participate in Proposal Support functions due to expertise. Essential Qualifications
Proven experience as a WiFi RF/ Telecommunications Engineer or in a similar role. Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and WLAN troubleshooting methodology. Experience with various wireless standards (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax). Proficient in using network diagnostic tools (e.g., Ekahau, Wireshark, Fluke) for capturing and analyzing WLAN protocols. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) are a plus. Active ECSE Design and Troubleshooting Certifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Competencies

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. To include walking and climbing ladders, and pulling cables through ceilings as necessary. Physical Demands
The contractor must be physically able, with reasonable and realistic accommodation where appropriate, and agreeable to conduct an on-site investigation of facilities, project sites, and building systems in a variety of climates, site locations, and working conditions. Position Type / Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Pending workload needs there may be some before/after-hour support requirements. Travel

2 years of WiFi / RF experience CompTIA Network+ Cisco CCNA 1 year of experience supporting Government contracts using Ekahau software to conduct site surveys to assess coverage and performance requirements Active ECSE Design and Troubleshooting Certifications or required within 6 months of hire date. BA or BS degree in IT or Telecommunications Certifications and/or work experience would be considered in place of a degree Security Clearance
