Overview The Center for Information Technology (CIT) at Oberlin College is leading a campus-wide transformation to modernize enterprise systems, streamline digital workflows, and expand data-informed decision-making. Oberlin is preparing to launch a new cloud-based ERP system that will redefine administrative and academic operations for years to come.

Role The Associate Director of Enterprise Applications will join the institution at this pivotal moment, helping to shape a seamless, service-driven, and student-centered technology environment. This role offers a rare opportunity to leave a lasting impact by collaborating across the College to modernize systems, optimize user experience, and build a more connected digital ecosystem.

This is a full-time, 12-month recurring Administrative and Professional Staff (A&PS) position, reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Applications, and requires regular on-campus presence for close collaboration with CIT colleagues and institutional partners.

Responsibilities

The Associate Director leads the management and optimization of enterprise applications supporting student services, HR, finance, admissions, CRM, and reporting. This position oversees a team of IT Business Analysts and partners closely with campus offices—including Institutional Effectiveness and Planning ( IEP /IR), Registrar, HR, Student Affairs, Finance, Admissions and Financial Aid, and Academic Divisions—to enhance enterprise systems, streamline business processes, and improve reporting and integration.

This role is essential to ensuring enterprise applications are secure, scalable, user-centered, and aligned with the evolving needs of Oberlin’s academic and administrative community.

Enterprise Software Administration

Oversee enterprise applications, ensuring secure, reliable operation and seamless integration across institutional systems.

Coordinate upgrades, vendor support, and application lifecycle management.

Team Leadership and Mentorship

Lead and support a team of IT Business Analysts; promote a collaborative, accountable, and service-focused team culture.

Align team efforts with institutional strategy and technology modernization goals.

Business Process Improvement

Partner with campus departments to evaluate and improve business processes supported by enterprise applications.

Identify automation opportunities and enhance the user experience across academic and administrative functions.

Systems Integration and Data Infrastructure

Oversee data integrations and collaborate with IEP /IR, Registrar, HR, Student Affairs, Finance, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Academic Divisions to ensure data flows and systems support institutional needs.

Work closely with CIT infrastructure teams on architecture, APIs, and integration governance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

At least 3 years of experience managing enterprise applications, ERP systems, or systems integration in a complex organization.

Demonstrated leadership of functional or technical teams.

Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proven ability to collaborate across departments and communicate with diverse audiences.

High initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to service.

Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, platforms, and institutional processes in a fast-evolving environment.
