Project Director – Indiana, USA. Lead Strategic Capital Projects in the Life Sciences Sector. ENG Bauen has been engaged by a leading global pharmaceutical operator to appoint a Project Director to oversee a portfolio of landmark capital investments in the United States. This role will take accountability for major CAPEX programs valued at $250M+, driving execution from early-stage project definition through to commissioning and operational readiness. This is a high-profile opportunity to lead the development of next-generation pharmaceutical facilities to expand production capacity, strengthen supply resilience, and accelerate delivery of innovative therapies to patients worldwide. Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership, direction, and governance for large-scale capital projects and programs. Drive projects through FEL, FID, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Define and implement project execution strategies, delivery models, and risk management frameworks. Engage directly with senior executives, global stakeholders, and cross-functional leadership teams. Oversee performance of EPCM partners, contractors, and vendors, ensuring projects meet scope, cost, schedule, and quality targets. Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and accountability across the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and operational requirements while embedding sustainability and efficiency in project delivery. Ideal profile / Qualifications
15+ years’ experience in senior project management and leadership roles. Proven track record delivering major CAPEX projects >$250M in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related process industries. Strong background working with FEL methodology, EPC/EPCM partners, and complex stakeholder interfaces. Deep understanding of project governance, execution frameworks, and operational readiness. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills in international, multidisciplinary settings. Connect With Us
