Our platform offers direct access to Best-in-Class services, including ESG, Security Consulting, Workplace Strategy, and Workplace Experience. Role: Head of Projects. You would be responsible for delivering projects within a Business Unit (BU), while leading and developing your team in the safe delivery of projects in a principal delivery model. The role includes creating a sales pipeline to generate revenue for the BU, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial boundaries and profit margins, and building external relationships with clients and supply partners. You will ensure all projects follow commercial agreements/contracts, comply with statutory regulations, meet QHSE requirements, and adhere to technical industry standards. Responsibilities

Ensure the safe delivery of projects through risk management and competence in a principal delivery model. Recruit, retain and develop talent for current delivery and future growth. Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities. Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects. Ensure projects are delivered on all maintenance contracts. Complete projects in line with local playbooks on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties. Identify, reduce and manage risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) for each project. Maximize profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services. Plan and develop long-term opportunities by creating a pipeline of opportunities. Liaise with colleagues to determine and identify project opportunities. Develop and manage bids, tenders and proposals. Generate project opportunities by building strong relationships with customers and site teams to exceed the annual financial plan. Pursue opportunities to generate projects through innovation and diverse technologies. Lead the project sales process through solutions development, presentations and consultations. Identify and win projects through effective relationships. Provide supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management meetings and reporting. Promote and maintain the core CBRE values. Contribute to BU strategy development and broader strategy delivery across projects with governance compliance. Manage the BU Projects forecast. People leadership, including addressing underperformance and compliance with CBRE policies. Negotiate contractual obligations and disputes upstream and downstream. Chair monthly and ad hoc project review meetings covering Health & Safety, legislation and financial requirements. Support onboarding for new project team members. Accountable to the BU Leader/Director and indirectly to the Divisional Project Director. This is not a comprehensive list of job requirements; additional tasks may be included. What You’ll Need

Education & Experience

Recognized technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical or similar (desirable). Degree level qualification in Project/Construction Management, engineering, or architecture (desirable). Proven track record of safely delivering exceptional projects in M&E, FM, construction, or critical environments. Experience of developing new project opportunities. Proven experience of running a P&L. Demonstrable evidence of having managed a team. Experience of creating, presenting and managing bids, tenders and proposals. Technically savvy with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Outlook. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Business-standard written and verbal literacy and numeracy. Excellent relationship builder with the ability to influence and inspire confidence. Confidence to challenge the status quo. Highly motivated and self-aware. Capability to manage extensive information from various sources. Highly organized and able to prioritize and deliver under high pressure, business-critical environments. Must be flexible to work outside core office hours to meet tight deadlines as set by customers. Role may require travel to other locations for team meetings, site visits or events.
