Support all technical aspects of avionics design, development, integration, test, and verification activities as the Certified Principal Engineer for a redesign effort. Participate in requirements analysis, design, manufacturing, qualification, and acceptance for a complex electro-optical system. Apply circuit design and troubleshooting principles to the development of new electronics hardware. Investigate hardware failures during engineering development, qualification, and acceptance testing at the part, CCA, and package levels. Critically review technical documentation, test plans, analyses, and reports. Mentor junior engineers and interface with customers, subcontractors, and leadership. To be effective in this role, you will need

Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware. 14+ years professional experience; 12+ years with Masters degree. Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance; US Citizenship is required (no clearance needed to start). Basic Qualifications

Experience in design and test of complex electrical hardware. Experience working on project teams and development efforts. Experience with design of digital and analog circuits. Experience troubleshooting hardware using schematics, drawings, and simulation tools. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is required. Desired Skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and build effective relationships. Strong communication skills to articulate complex issues for technical and non-technical audiences. Capability to lead a team responsible for avionics development and experience as Certified Principal Engineer or equivalent. Experience leading small diverse teams in development of technical products. Experience leading FRB investigations to isolate and address Root Causes with Corrective Actions (RCCA). Experience with design and/or analysis of PCB/PWB, CCA, and/or electronic packages. Ability to work autonomously and drive items to closure. Experience with electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, FMEA). Experience with design and test of electro-optical devices and Space/Missile Defense missions; familiarity with THAAD. Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one. Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedules range from standard 40 hours per week over five days to condensed schedules. Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour days, 3 days off per week Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas) is $122,900 - $216,660; other locations will reflect final work location. Salary information is a guideline and may consider scope, experience, and market factors. Benefits offered:
