Opportunity Overview HireNow Staffing is partnering with a leading manufacturing operation in Boston, MA, to add a
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Engineer
to their technology and operations team. This role is perfect for a technically skilled professional who thrives at the intersection of
manufacturing processes, automation, and digital integration.
The MES Engineer will play a critical role in supporting day-to-day operations, enhancing system performance, and driving optimization projects that connect shop-floor activities with enterprise-level systems. This is a hands-on position where your expertise will directly improve
efficiency, compliance, and product quality.
Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot MES applications to ensure seamless integration with production systems and ERP platforms
Work closely with operations, automation, and IT teams to capture requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Support system upgrades, deployments, and validation activities while maintaining compliance with industry standards
Develop dashboards, workflows, and reports to provide actionable insights for plant leadership
Serve as a technical resource for MES-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance
Document system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures for compliance and training purposes
Participate in
continuous improvement initiatives , identifying opportunities to streamline production workflows through MES enhancements
Candidate Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
3+ years of hands-on MES experience within a manufacturing environment (pharma, biotech, or high-tech industries preferred)
Strong understanding of production workflows, automation systems, and ERP integration
Familiarity with
GMP regulations, data integrity, and system validation
is highly desirable
Proficiency with SQL databases, scripting, and system configuration tools
Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary:
$110,000 - $120,000 annually
