Overview

Angeles College, City of Industry, is seeking a strategic, student-focused, and compliance-driven Director of Financial Aid to lead our financial aid operations. This leader will ensure that our programs operate with integrity, efficiency, and a deep commitment to supporting student success. Responsibilities

Direct and oversee all aspects of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs. Ensure compliance with Title IV and other federal/state regulatory requirements. Stay abreast of and implement all federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations and policies, including Title IV programs (e.g., Pell Grants, FSEOG, Direct Loans), state-specific aid programs, and institutional scholarship guidelines. Provide leadership in developing and maintaining policies and plans for improving the Financial Aid department. Plan, develop, update, day-to-day operations and the implementation of the entire Financial Aid program. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations from the U.S. Department of Education and other governing bodies. Supervise, train, and evaluate financial aid staff. Prepare and submit required reports, including NSLDS, FISAP, and IPEDS. Coordinate with auditors for annual compliance reviews. Serve as the primary contact for DOE requests and audits. Oversee financial aid software (e.g., Campus Ivy/Portico) and data integration with other institutional systems. Ensure proper maintenance, configuration, and optimization of systems for aid processing. Oversee verification of all application data to ensure compliance with federal and institutional regulations; responsible for accurate awarding and packaging of financial aid for all enrolled students, and for maintaining complete and compliant financial aid files. Research and apply for state and federal grants to support the school’s mission. Serve as a vital part of the enrollment pipeline, supporting students in creating and implementing financial plans for attendance. Collaborate with the Registrar’s Office to maintain accurate student records and online databases. Work with the Business Office to update and maintain accurate financial records. Monitor budgets, analyze trends, and present data-driven recommendations. Perform special projects related to Financial Aid as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Business, Finance, Higher Education Administration, or related field. Minimum 5 years of progressive financial aid experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of federal/state financial aid regulations and compliance standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and survey tools.
