As a market leader in illiquid portfolio pricing valuation services, our Private Equity professionals assist clients in the post‑trade valuation of alternative investments, specifically for debt and equity positions where no active market quotations are available. Since inception in 2014, the department has been among the fastest‑growing areas within S&P Global. Our teams in London, Dallas, Singapore, and Noida support a wide range of institutional investors and cover notable names across start‑up, growth, mature, and distressed stages globally. Responsibilities & Impact

The Private Market Valuation, Senior Associate will deliver a range of valuation services specifically to the alternative investment community including private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, banks, institutional investors and fund administrators, in connection with provision of post‑trade valuations for their alternative investment positions. The Senior Associate will use valuation techniques and technology‑enabled solutions to fulfil these client commitments. On a day‑to‑day basis, Senior Associate will work with Excel, Intex, and Intex Link to build and review cash‑flow models, use SQL for data extraction and reconciliation, and apply Python to automate tasks and improve efficiency. They will collaborate with internal teams to refine models and ensure accuracy, transparency, and scalability in all valuation deliverables. The Senior Associate will periodically liaise with valuation committees on adopted methodology, with auditors on regulatory requests and internal developers on new technology to streamline workload. Key duties include: Perform valuations on a broad range of illiquid investments—including ABS, CLOs, CMBS, and other structured products—across multiple industries and geographies, applying accepted valuation approaches and best practices. Prepare and present analyses and conclusions, including clear written reports, and respond to valuation‑related questions from clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders. Contribute to the design, testing, and enhancement of financial models and workflow tools used in the valuation process, collaborating with developers and senior team members. Use AI tools to gather and clean financial, market, and operational data from various structured and unstructured sources (e.g., filings, news, databases), improving efficiency and accuracy in valuation inputs. Incorporate machine learning to identify patterns in historical valuation data, improve forecast accuracy, and support scenario analysis for complex or illiquid investments. Leverage natural language processing to extract key insights from investment memos, pitch books, earnings calls, and regulatory filings to support valuation assumptions. Partner with management to build, maintain, and deepen client relationships through consistent communication and high‑quality deliverables. Compensation & Benefits (US Applicants Only)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as annual incentive bonus plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. Basic Qualifications

Qualified accountant or CFA charterholder (or in process of obtaining qualification) Solid experience of constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models including: DCF, comparable company / bond, and other intangible asset models Hands‑on exposure to securitizations, including CLOs, ABS, or CMBS Experience of managing delivery of valuations and provision of responses to price challenges Knowledge of software packages including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in tools such as Intex (IntexCalc and IntexLink), advanced Excel, Python, and SQL is highly valued Broad understanding of SPV structures and underlying asset classes, including ABS, CLOs, CMBS Experience of building and maintaining client relationships Experience in prioritizing tasks in order to deliver valuations Ability to coordinate with internal teams across a variety of functions Exceptional energy, drive and stamina Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations Strong influential skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong team player This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
