Responsibilities
Lead a high-performance team of Security Content Engineers in a global environment.
Hire, onboard, and train new staff; design and deliver remedial training as needed. Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to develop analyst capabilities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Ensure the team’s detection and response strategies align with enterprise security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and CRI.
Oversee the design, implementation, and validation of security use cases across security tools such as SIEM, UEBA, SOAR, DLP, and EDR platforms.
Partner with Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Forensics, and Security Operations to ensure cohesive and effective threat detection strategies.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of detection content and team performance. Present findings to senior leadership.
Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies. Guide the team in adapting detection strategies to address new attack vectors and evolving adversary tactics.
Drive process improvements, automation, and documentation to enhance the Security Operations Center team’s efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years in cybersecurity, including 5+ years in a leadership or management role.
Strong understanding of detection engineering, threat modeling, and response automation.
Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, DLP, EDR, and cloud-native security tools.
Experience with automation development, through scripting and low-code tooling.
Familiarity with security frameworks and models including MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and CRI.
Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders.
Preferred certifications: CISSP, GCIH, GMON, GCDA, or equivalent.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $123K - $173K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
