to join our Geotechnical, Dams & Hydraulics team in any of the following locations: Jacksonville, FL; Mechanicsburg, PA; Houston, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Salt Lake City, UT; Phoenix, AZ; Roseville, CA; Oakland, CA. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance in the office. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for technical and business aspects of the firm, providing expert input on large, complex water resources projects across the U.S. Your responsibilities will include : Designing and leading major projects independently Managing and leading large or multiple projects with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors Planning scope, resources, schedule, and budget for projects Applying extensive engineering knowledge to evaluate and select techniques and analyses Performing dam and levee safety inspections and assessments Providing construction support, including bid assistance, observation, and project close-out Reviewing project documents for quality assurance Engaging in business development to build client relationships and pursue new opportunities Managing technical staff and mentoring team members Developing new techniques and leading project meetings Representing the organization in communications and conferences Supervising and training junior staff What you will bring to our firm : Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution 15+ years of increasing responsibility in geotechnical or civil engineering Experience in project management, business development, and client relations PE license in one of the specified states or the ability to obtain via reciprocity Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office, and similar tools Expertise in slope stability, seepage analysis, dam and levee design Experience with report writing, plans, specifications, and estimates Knowledge of analysis programs like GeoStudio, Mathcad, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS Preferred qualifications : Master’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering Experience as a FERC Independent Consultant or Subject Matter Expert Knowledge of deep foundation design or landslide stabilization Proficiency in LifeSim, RMC-RFA, ArcGIS, RMC-BestFit software Compensation :
Salary range is $140,000 - $190,000, dependent on experience and location.
