Locum Tenens Radiation Oncologist – Duluth, Minnesota
Specialty: Radiation Oncology (MD)
Location: Duluth, Minnesota
Nearest Airport: Duluth International Airport (DLH)
Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days

Opportunity Overview A busy, hospital-based Radiation Oncology practice seeks locum tenens coverage starting August 1, ongoing. The role arises due to retirement of a long-standing physician. The practice is part of a cancer center with a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to care.
Position Highlights
Schedule: Minimum of 3 clinic days per week (0.6 FTE)
Call: 50/50 shared hospital consultation call split with a second Radiation Oncologist
Patient Volume: 10–15 clinic visits per day (includes OTVs); average daily treatment volume 25 patients on TrueBeam
Department Beds: 24
Trauma Level II
Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days

Participation in clinical trials encouraged
Facility & Support Team
Full-time on-site dosimetry with a pay-per-plan model for high volume
Hybrid physics team on-site every other week, with remote support available
Radiation Therapists and 2 RNs dedicated to the practice
3 administrative/office staff
On-site CT simulation
Shared suite with Medical Oncology & Infusion Therapy for integrated care
Weekly Multidisciplinary Tumor Boards (Thursdays) – locum participation welcome
Weekly chart rounds on Wednesdays with both Radiation Oncologists
Licensing Requirements
Must hold a Minnesota medical license or be eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
