At Belvedere Trading, our Team Leads are responsible for designing and leading projects from start to finish. They are thorough in code reviews and push for quality from their team members. Team Leads are very well versed with the current codebase, its constraints and problems all the while gauging risk impacts by looking at design and code. This role is also tasked with nurturing and enforcing technical practices among team members. Exchange and Algo Framework Team
The Exchange and Algo Framework Team develops and manages all Belvedere Trading’s exchange-facing platforms for the traders. This team controls the order execution process and market data. The team is accountable for consistent order entry and market data interface for our electronic trading systems across the 20+ exchanges we interact with. What you'll do
Display strong vision and leadership skills Recognize system deficiencies, and architectural needs and implement effective solutions Monitor and ensure systems are running correctly and manage testing and deployment queues Manage and support team-owned components ranging from production issues to long-term strategic planning Identify latency issues and thoughtfully tune and optimize the platform Motivate the team to achieve team goals and encourage collaboration among members Provide training and mentorship to team members and ensure the team is cross-trained Understand the team’s system integration with the rest of Belvedere’s systems Help resolve team conflict and demonstrate respect when working with others Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to develop solutions for trading systems What you'll need
5+ years of professional experience in C++ development, including modern C++17 and C++20 features Experience working in C# and Python code base Experience in architecting and implementing low-latency exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading platforms Fluency in commonly used exchange protocols for various connectivity Knowledge of UDP multicast and TCP unicast principles and the ability to troubleshoot issues Experience with low-latency and high-throughput message processing Comfortable analyzing and designing solutions for fast-changing messaging protocols Well-versed in all areas of delivering technical solutions Strong focus on testing and automation High-quality standards for code and design Proven track record of providing constructive feedback to management and peers Excellent combination of technical and interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal skills Experience in proprietary trading environment preferred $175,000 - $275,000 a year Additionally, certain positions at Belvedere Trading are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
