What you’ll do as a Solutions Architect The Solutions Architect is a senior technical leadership role. You are a customer-facing, hands-on technologist with credibility built on domain expertise across Cloudflare’s portfolio, with a key focus on the Cloudflare One portfolio. You should have solid experience influencing enterprise architecture design across senior buyer personas at customers and partner organizations, and you will persuade decision makers of the long-term value of Cloudflare as a strategic technology partner. You will act as the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare, collaborating with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to drive customer success and scalable solutions that meet customer needs. You will work as part of a highly visible pursuit team attached to designated strategic accounts, understanding their business challenges and priorities to define short- and long-term solution architectures with Cloudflare at the centerpiece. You will also scale your expertise across the wider Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization. Specifically we are looking for: Build and maintain long-term technical relationships with key accounts to ensure successful design, proof, and adoption of Cloudflare as part of the customer’s infrastructure. Identify and drive strategic conversations with key stakeholders to increase Cloudflare’s reputation and footprint within the customer landscape. Be the voice of the customer, engaging and influencing Product Management and Product Roadmap to serve customer needs. Demonstrate Cloudflare expertise through professional content such as white papers, reference architectures, and blog posts. Represent and evangelize Cloudflare externally at Developer Community, Technology, Cybersecurity, and industry events with thought leadership. Apply in-depth vertical knowledge or domain expertise and advise on best practices. Examples of desirable skills, knowledge, and experience 7 years of deployment experience in a similar role or in a technical leadership capacity Experience as a solution architect, consultant, or technical marketing engineer building, architecting, or deploying security solutions Understanding of AI and its applicability to today’s enterprise landscape Proven track record using AI/related technologies to drive revenue Knowledge of the broader threat landscape and ability to distill technology trends and explain complex concepts simply Experience working with customers and partners in successful design and deployment of solutions Ability to manage and drive projects with customers, prospects, and partners Experience with cloud computing solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) Hands-on experience with information security solutions (Web Proxy, NGFW, Security Gateways, SIEMs, SAML/SSO, DLP, encryption, HSM, etc.) Experience with Identity Providers (e.g., Entra, Okta, Ping, OneLogin) Knowledge of web application programming (XML, REST/SOAP APIs, REST/JSON) Strong knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, OAuth/OpenID Connect, RBAC Experience with cloud/virtualization technologies and containerization; familiarity with IaaS/PaaS/SaaS delivery models Strong knowledge of Security Architecture, Design, and Operations Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) and IAC tools (e.g., Terraform) Knowledge of security and cryptography Knowledge of cloud/virtualization technologies and containerization Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. For Chicago/Atlanta-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $248,000 – $303,000 For New York City, Washington D.C., Seattle, Los Angeles-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $257,000 – $314,000 Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
