HBITS-07-14266, Description: Workers Compensation Board (WCB) has a series of funded modernization initiatives aimed at modernizing its critical technology applications and supporting platforms. The WCB requires assistance with System Modernization projects that involve the Azure cloud, .NET, and PowerBuilder development and architecture.
Day-to-day tasks
Conduct meetings to gather business requirements
Conduct technical design meetings
Document requirements and solutions
Write technical specifications
Code, test, and implement software modules
Review code and test results of other programmers
Create physical database work tables and temporary tables and indexes
Coordinate and conduct Unit, System and Stress testing
Helpdesk Tickets (Day to Day questions and issues).
Participate in projects providing subject matter input and guidance
Role Software Architect
Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.
Experience and Qualifications
84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
84 months experience writing PowerBuilder Code.
24 months experience writing PowerBuilder Code, specifically using Version 10.5
48 months experience with databases, including designing Tables, Triggers, Stored Procedures and writing SQL.
60 months experience with gathering requirements and creating design documents.
