We are searching for a talented Pharmacy Tech Specialist-Amb Care

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Outreach Pharmacy - Fairhaven, MA

Responsibilities Under the direction of the Manager of Pharmacy Outreach or designee, the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Technician Specialist is a unique role that provides integrated support to patients, pharmacists, providers and other members of the healthcare team. Works to improve patient care through the delivery of a full continuum of medication support services. Assists ambulatory care clinical pharmacists with administrative and patient care duties; utilizing their training to help the team and patients navigate medication-related barriers to care. The ambulatory care pharmacy team is well positioned to improve outcomes and lower costs through the integration of operational and clinical excellence coupled with highly personalized patient-centric care. Responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, outreaching to patients remotely and in person, managing referrals from providers, obtaining medication histories, processing test claims, completing prior authorizations, assisting with affordability and availability solutions, reviewing patient chart in preparation for pharmacist appointments and participating in organizational initiatives to improve patient care.

Qualifications

High School graduate or the equivalent is required.

Massachusetts state registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.

Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification is required within 18 months of hire.

One year of related work experience is required; three years is preferred.

Must be driven, detail-oriented and confident in clinical abilities.

Must demonstrate effective communication skills especially regarding support for patients and their questions/issues.

Must have positive attitudes, empathy, emotional intelligence, and genuine passion for this work.

Position is part of our Primary Care Ambulatory Pharmacy Team.

Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying exemption after hire.

Massachusetts state registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.

Compensation

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range: USD $23.15 - USD $38.93 /Hr.
