UHS . Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is developing a new Emergency Medicine Residency Program, set to launch in July 2026. We are seeking an experienced Program Director to lead the ACGME application process and shape the future of Emergency Medicine training on Florida’s West Coast. This is an excellent opportunity to build a high-quality academic program in a thriving community at a 190-bed community hospital known for its CMS quality metrics, patient safety, and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative clinician-educator with a passion for resident training and a minimum of three years of leadership experience in GME. The Program Director will initially begin as a consulting position and transition to a .5 FTE leadership role, with the remaining time spent in clinical Emergency Medicine practice. Direct patient care in the Emergency Department is required, with skills in collaborative leadership, administration, and clinical education in a supportive training environment. Position Highlights

Board certification by ABEM or AOBEM Minimum of 3 years of recent educational and/or administrative experience in an ACGME-accredited program Prior Program Director or Associate Program Director experience strongly preferred Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills Strong background in medical education, scholarly activity, and clinical excellence About Lakewood Ranch Medical Center
