Overview
Division Chief - Pediatric General Surgery at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware. Nemours Children’s Health Delaware Valley Department of Surgery seeks a board-certified/board eligible Pediatric General Surgeon with experience in fetal surgery to serve as Director of Perinatal Surgery and Chief of the Division of Pediatric General Surgery in Wilmington, DE. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with board certification in Pediatric Surgery and will support the Advanced Delivery Unit and Fetal Care Center Programs, the Level One Pediatric Trauma Center, Level 4 NICU, and the ELSO Platinum Level ECMO Program. Our Pediatric General Surgery Division includes 9 pediatric surgeons, 5 advanced practice providers, 2 specialty nurses, and 4 fellows (1 clinical and 3 research). This leadership position offers the opportunity to build on a strong foundation, drive innovation, expand clinical services, and mentor the next generation of pediatric surgical leaders. The role blends clinical leadership, strategic development, academic responsibility, and administrative oversight within a rapidly growing, nationally recognized institution. Participation in our Pediatric Surgery fellowship program allows for education and mentoring of future pediatric surgeons. There are opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research and contribute to advancement of pediatric surgical care. Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the Division of Pediatric General Surgery and contribute to the growth of clinical services, research, and education. Support the Advanced Delivery Unit and Fetal Care Center programs, Level One Pediatric Trauma Center, Level 4 NICU, and ELSO Platinum Level ECMO Program. Provide clinical expertise across all aspects of pediatric general surgery and bring specialized fetal surgery experience to the program. Mentor the next generation of pediatric surgical leaders and collaborate with the Pediatric Surgery fellowship program. Engage in academic responsibilities and administrative oversight within a growing institution. Program Highlights
