The role reports to the Head of US Oncology Sales and collaborates with key stakeholders across the US Oncology team.
Responsibilities
Lead and support the strategy and execution of data-driven insights to support commercial decision making for the Oncology sales and marketing functions.
Elevate the understanding of current data sets provided by DD&T and provide concise explanations to the SLT and field sales leaders.
Facilitate DD&T data sets such as Atlas to support field sales performance measurements and accountability at the national, area, regional, and territory level.
Lead advanced business intelligence analyses and make strategic recommendations.
Provide additional resources and lead project teams to achieve milestones and support execution at all levels.
Lead the SFE team in territory planning, account management initiatives, business review templates, and the generation of essential data sets and slides to inform OBU decision-making.
How You Will Contribute
Partner with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Marketing, DD&T and other cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to enhance sales force productivity, drive brand strategies, and develop processes, tools and technology to improve sales impact.
Collaborate with leadership for each function to refine analysis, insights, and provide recommendations.
Prioritize sales and marketing analytic initiatives with sales and brand leadership, ensuring opportunities are high-impact for the business.
Support field leadership and marketing leadership in identifying crucial KPIs leading the overall success.
Provide support to sales and marketing forecasting processes and timelines.
Deliver strategic KPIs and supporting metrics for monthly, quarterly, and annual business review processes.
Act as a change agent related to understanding, confidence, and delivery of OBU data and analytics.
Liaise between SLT, Operations, and Brand Teams as needed.
Oversee ad hoc project requests related to the commercial field team and brand leadership.
Work with the DD&T team to ensure a close partnership between this team and the field commercial team.
Analyze and track sales data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities to optimize sales strategies and improve team performance; develop and deliver reports on sales performance and gaps vs. industry benchmarks.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and execution.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MS/MBA Preferred).
Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on sales and marketing strategy, data analytics, and insights.
People management experience is preferred.
Proven track record of enabling data-driven decision-making at a senior leadership level. Strong analytical background, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex and dynamic data sets into actionable insights and align them with business priorities to drive impactful results.
Strong presentation skills and ability to teach in a F2F or virtual setting. Excellent oral and written communication.
Ability to influence without authority.
Experience in driving Sales Force Effectiveness is a plus.
Proficiency in CRM platforms, tracking, and reporting.
Ability to synthesize data and derive core insights that inform strategy.
Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering results.
Strong planning, organization, and collaboration skills with financial acumen.
Ability to summarize relevant market and business intelligence.
Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels.
Skills in PowerPoint, Tableau, Qlik, Word, Excel, Outlook, and eLearning platforms.
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel up to 40% of time, including periodic sales meetings and home office meetings/presentations.

Compensation and Benefits This position is currently classified as hybrid per Takeda''s policy. For location: Boston, MA. U.S. base salary range: $174,500.00 - $274,230.00. Several incentives and benefits may apply, including eligible health, retirement, time-off, and other well-being programs.
