Overview
A large academic medical center's Urology Division is expanding with two fellowship-trained urologists: one in Genitourinary Reconstructive Urology (GURS) and one in Urologic Oncology. The positions are affiliated with the flagship university hospital and the 6th largest medical school in the US. The primary teaching hospital was recently named one of the top teaching hospitals in the nation. Physician Entity Highlights: Founded in 1994; more than 2,000 clinicians and providers; 80 specialties and subspecialties; more than 100 clinical locations; more than 1,500 employees. The candidate will participate in teaching and training residents in the Urology Residency Program, currently with 15 residents. The department includes 8 urologists and 4 Advanced Practice Providers and will be practicing in a brand new, purpose-built urology clinic that will be patient-centered and open in 2026. Access to one of the largest group practices in the country and its referral base High subspecialty volume with mentorship available Purpose-built clinic set for completion in 2026, patient-centered with on-site radiology Convenient new ambulatory surgery center (ASC) set for completion in 2026 Research is preferred Teaching of medical students and Urology residents Call is optional; 1:6 to 1:7, residents assist with first call Visa sponsorship for H-1B candidates Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program eligible Epic is used for EMR Benefits and compensation package, including relocation, CME allowances, and productivity bonus Responsibilities
Provide clinical urology care within the subspecialty focus (GURS or Urologic Oncology) Teach and supervise residents and medical students in the Urology Residency Program Engage in research activities and contribute to scholarly work Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in a large academic setting Qualifications
MD or DO Fellowship-trained in Genitourinary Reconstructive Urology (GURS) or Urologic Oncology Eligibility for medical licensure in Texas Area Highlights
