Litigation Assistant – San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
A well-regarded law firm is seeking a Litigation Assistant to join its busy Litigation practice group. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with attorneys and professional staff in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment. The role is based in San Francisco and follows a hybrid schedule, with approximately 80% in-office attendance required. Base pay range
$90,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Prepare, format, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and internal memoranda. Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, court dates, and travel arrangements. Track attorney and paralegal time entries; assist with billing processes and monthly invoicing. Process expense reimbursements and check requests. Support client intake, including conflict checks and preparation of engagement letters. Provide professional support to clients and internal teams via phone, email, and in-person. Monitor court deadlines and ensure timely filings in compliance with court procedures. Coordinate court reporters and notify relevant parties and witnesses of scheduled appearances. Maintain accurate case calendars and assist with discovery coordination. Collaborate across teams to support litigation matters and administrative projects. Participate in training sessions to stay current with legal technology and firm systems. Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. At least 3 years of relevant administrative experience in a law firm or professional services environment. Familiarity with legal terminology, California civil litigation procedures, and court filing protocols. Experience filing documents in state and federal courts preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Discretion in handling confidential information. Strong judgment and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; able to learn new software quickly. Professional demeanor and commitment to high-quality client service. Compensation & Benefits
