Overview
ChristianaCare, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare, is actively recruiting a BE/BC Vascular Neurologist to join our physician-led practice. We are one of the busiest stroke centers in the region, treating many acute stroke patients and expanding our team to meet increasing patient needs. The candidate will join a team of 10 Vascular Neurologists and Neurohospitalists overseeing acute stroke care and general consults at ChristianaCare. In-person work is at the Newark and Wilmington campuses. A tele-network covers acute strokes across the system, and the program is moving to an overnight virtual shift-based model to support physician rest and work-life balance. ChristianaCare Newark is the state\'s only Comprehensive Stroke Center with top awards from the American Heart Association over the past 5+ years; Wilmington is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center. The program includes a dedicated Neurointensive Care Unit, a transitional Neuro Unit, the only epilepsy monitoring unit in the state, and acute inpatient beds staffed by neuro-trained professionals, supported by 18 subspecialty physicians. Provide acute stroke care and general neurology consults on a system with a robust tele-network for stroke coverage. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurohospitalists, neurointensive care, and subspecialists to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in an overnight virtual shift-based model to support patient care and physician work-life balance. Engage in clinical duties across the Newark and Wilmington campuses as needed. Qualifications
MD, DO, or equivalent degree with BE/BC in Neurology; BE/BC in Vascular Neurology preferred. Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and experience working with a diverse patient population. About ChristianaCare
