250 Miller Place Hicksville, NY 11801 Schedule:

Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:30pm, with flexibility (Must be available for periodic overnights as Sunrise operates 24/7) Employment:

Full Time; benefits eligible; Onsite

Responsibilities

Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure new hires receive and complete onboarding and are ready for orientation

Create, organize and maintain new hire packets, and new employee files

Conduct new employee orientation

Process terminations to ensure that all termination recordkeeping is completed

Process unemployment insurance claim forms

Conduct exit interviews with terminating employees to assess overall success of employment relationship and opportunities for improvement

Processes unemployment insurance claim forms

Assist with annual benefits re-enrollment

Explain company benefit information to newly hired employees and current staff as needed

Submit workers\' compensation claims

Advise on FMLA process and follow up with employees on leave as needed

File all personnel related documents in a timely manner

Assist in preparing employment related reports for in-house and regulatory compliance

Help to organize employee activities, holiday and monthly events, Lab Week, recognition and service awards, charitable fundraising activities and retirement parties

Order flowers/fruit baskets for condolences and baby blankets for a new baby

Gather employee discount coupons and recognition items by contacting vendors

Maintain bulletin boards and posts notices

Assist the HR team with research projects and/or special projects or events

Process mail, makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions

Qualifications

Associates Degree

Minimum 1 year experience in an administrative or business setting, preferred

Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels within the company

Ability to work independently with remote supervision and be productive

Strong written communication and interpersonal skills

Proper judgment when exposed to confidential information

Strong organizational, administrative and time management skills by prioritizing assignments, establishing follow-ups to ensure task completion, and management of multiple projects

Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Compensation Salary minimum to max is $20.00 to $26.00 hourly. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
