Overview
Remote Diagnostic Pediatric Radiologist The Department of Radiology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC), affiliated with Hofstra-Northwell Medical School, Department of Radiology, is seeking a full-time Remote Diagnostic Pediatric Radiologist. Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) of New York is a 202-bed tertiary pediatric hospital performing approximately 70,000 examinations annually. It is the largest provider of pediatric health services in New York State and serves 1.8 million children in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island’s Nassau and Suffolk counties. The hospital has a new inpatient facility with a state-of-the-art Emergency Department and features a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Bone Marrow Transplant unit. Responsibilities
Work remotely at home (in-state or out-of-state). Provide 24/7 IT support and maintain clinical coverage. Deliver clinical services across all aspects of Pediatric Radiology (plain film, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI). Support services at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, and several community hospitals remotely. Collaborate in a collegial, team-based environment with fellowship-trained colleagues in multiple subspecialties. Engage in opportunities for growth in academia, research, and leadership. Qualifications
MD or DO degree with board certification in Diagnostic Radiology. Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology; CAQ certified or eligible; eligible for New York licensure. Expertise in all areas of Pediatric Radiology (excluding Neuroradiology) is required. Dedicated time for scholarly activities and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows; participation in multidisciplinary conferences is required. Team and Facilities
The Pediatric Radiology division comprises five dedicated pediatric radiologists. Facilities include two new dedicated Pediatric MRI machines (1.5T and 3T), two CT scanners, two Siemens flat-panel fluoroscopy units, and three ultrasound suites with 24-hour Pediatric Ultrasound technologists. A separate Pediatric Neuroradiology division with two dedicated Pediatric Neuroradiologists has been established.
