Overview

The Head of Career Development and Employer Relations is a strategic leader responsible for managing and overseeing the campus career development and employer relations team. The role supports learning through comprehensive career development programming and activities, delivering a full range of career programming, cultivating relationships with employers, and collaborating with campus departments to integrate career readiness initiatives into the student experience and support student employment success. This role reports to the Campus Dean and works with other campus teams to ensure global alignment and coordination between global campuses. Responsibilities

Team Management: provide leadership and administrative oversight of the Career Development and Employer Relations campus teams; mentor team members to achieve key performance metrics; develop and implement innovative career development programs, advising, workshops, employer relations, partnerships, and industry events to enhance student job readiness and engagement; stay current with trends in career development. Program Delivery and Communication: leverage technology and online platforms to deliver career programming; oversee campus content of promotional materials and marketing to convey the value of career development; participate in regular calls with campus leaders to support collaboration and global coordination; report employment data to the Central Team for strategic decision-making and compliance; provide monthly student career success stories for Marketing and Enrolment teams. Student Advising and Programming: organize and execute interactive career workshops covering fundamentals (assessment, branding, resumes, job searches, interviewing, mock interviews, salary negotiation); collaborate with campus colleagues to embed career readiness into curricula and co-curricular activities; serve as a Career Advisor to a select group of undergraduate students; deliver presentations and workshops as part of career programming. Director Oversight: provide guidance in training, development, supervision, and evaluation of team members. Employer Relations: guide the ER team in developing relationships with local, regional, and global employers, alumni, and industry partners; create pipelines and partnerships for student opportunities; maintain partnerships to identify job opportunities, on-campus activities, and events; ensure annual KPIs are met (sourcing opportunities, alumni/corporate contacts, company engagement opportunities, co-branded events); participate in the Campus business challenge task force where applicable. On-Campus Presence: this position requires on-campus presence at least 4 days a week with 5 days during peak periods; current 1-day work-from-home allowance is subject to change with School review. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Career Advising, Student Affairs, Higher Education, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum three years of experience in career development, professional development, employer relations, and/or corporate recruiting. Familiarity with recruitment practices, in-demand roles and skills, and market dynamics regionally and nationally; strong knowledge and network in one or more functional areas or industries. Interest in regional employment opportunities; awareness of global employment trends; experience with Handshake or other career platforms; proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Excellent facilitation and presentation skills; ability to engage students in various formats; staff management experience; strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse cultures; detail-oriented with analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
